Sterling silver and blue enamel ‘sapphire’ cocktail ring
The Copy-Cat Ring is all about illusion and trickery, creating the appearance of a giant, brilliant-cut sapphire using some very clever silversmithing and enamel work.
This striking, one-of-a-kind cocktail ring draws its inspiration from Hans Christian Anderson’s fairytale, The Emperor’s New Clothes, which also happens to be the title of the collection from which it hails. As a modern fine jewellery house, we have always preferred to concentrate our efforts on unique design rather than carat weight, and this ring is a really apt representation of our passion for subverting the visual norm through humour and juxtaposition. In our world, record breaking sized gemstones should be affordable to all!
As cocktail rings go, the Copy-Cat Ring is what we like to call the classic all-rounder. As easily worn by day as by night, we think it looks best when paired with denim or anything blue.
