Mirage-At-Large Earrings in Gold
The Mirage-at-Large Earrings draw their inspiration from Hans Christian Anderson’s fairytale, The Emperor’s New Clothes, which also happens to be the title of the collection from which it hails. As everyone knows, the fairytale is all about deception and duplicity – what you see is not always what you get. It’s a bit like these earrings – the marquise and asscher-cut shapes here are not made of gemstone at all, but solid metal, creating the illusion of a high carat weight gem.
As gold vermeil earrings go, the Mirage-at-Large Earrings look both statement and subtle, making them the perfect accessory for daytime, casual dressing. Their ‘not too long’ but ‘not too short’ length elongates any face superbly, whilst their warm, golden colour lights up even the palest of complexions. We like to wear our Mirage-at-Large earrings with scraped back hair and other gold jewellery to really show off its geometric form. These earrings pair particularly well with our birthstone necklaces or White Lightning Necklace.
For those who like their jewellery with a touch more bling, the Mirage-at-Large Earrings can easily be customised or personalised to include a few (or a lot) of set gemstones. We think a sprinkling of white diamonds covering the asscher drops could look pretty cool; or for a full on look, why not cover the entire surface with pave-set stones?
