“Sun-soaked and picturesque, Positano is surely one of the Amalfi’s most beautiful and beguiling coastal settlements”, notes Tessa, who drew her inspiration for these eponymously named earrings from the town’s blue pastel-painted houses and local seafood cuisine. And (as if further justification is needed) we really do think the Positano Earrings are the most perfect accessory to wear when on a sun soaked holiday. Blue always looks fabulous against a tan.
Hand-crafted in 18ct yellow gold vermeil, the Positano Earrings are set with aquamarine bead tops, capped with iolite cabochon detailing to match the little octopus’ eyes.
Animals have always occupied a very central place in jewellery, all the way from Ancient Egypt to the modern day. For Tessa, her love of nature started at a very young age. Growing up in both London and the countryside, her experiences with wildlife oscillated between the wilds of Scotland and the Natural History Museum (an institution she still calls ‘her second home’ in the capital). Although very different, Tessa attributes both these locations as being extremely instrumental and formative playgrounds in her youth, shaping who she is and what she loves today.
Unsurprisingly, nature and animals enjoy a centre stage role in Tessa Packard London’s fine jewellery. From bee jewellery to pig jewellery and insect-filled secret gardens, Tessa has tackled a large number of animal subjects over the years, each tackled in the same whimsical, fun and utterly memorable way.
