Tortuga Bangle Set
The Tortuga Bangles are made using up-cycled, vintage lucite bangles. Beads of sodalite, lapis lazuli, aquamarine and peacock pearls decorate the exterior to mirror the popular polka-dot motif of the 1950s. Hailing from our Plastic Fantastic collection of jewellery, this one-of-a-kind piece explores the possibilities of plastic – and specifically sustainably used plastic – in the world of fine jewellery.
Jewellery editor Jill Newman wrote of the Plastic Fantastic collection: “Tessa Packard’s new collection delivers a dose of colour and whimsy – which is needed right now…saturated, technicolour vintage lucite is paired with bright coloured stones in playful pieces that exude the tropic – polka dots, flowers and candy stripes…I’m ready for spring break and the pool!”.
Like Jill, we think our Tortuga Bangle set is perfect for summer and poolside living. Their bright, aqua and turquoise tone makes them ideal accessories for any resort wardrobe. They are also extremely versatile to wear – you can layer them up all on one arm or wear two on each wrist. For a proper Plastic Fantastic look pair with our Tortuga Necklace or Key Largo Necklace for maximum impact.
The Tortuga Bangles have been showcased online by such editors as @melaniegrant of The Economist 1843 and Annabel Davidson, Jewellery Editor of Vanity Fair, and featured in such publications as British Vogue, Conde Nast Traveller, JCK Magazine and Departures Magazine.
