Forest Fawn Earrings
18ct yellow gold, onyx, rutilated quartz, enamel and porcelain deer earrings
The one-of-a-kind Forest Fawn Earrings hail from the designer's Lost & Found collection which takes its inspiration from the Victorian curiosity cabinet, the art of Joseph Cornell and the 'found' object. Stumbling across a miniature porcelain fawn at a market store, Tessa kept this cute critter safely stored in a drawer, along with numerous other eclectic finds, for over four years whilst she worked on different designs. Lost & Found embraces these 'lost' objects, such as the fawn, giving them a new lease of life through creative reconstruction and embellishment.
The Forest Fawn Earrings are the ultimate mismatching statement earrings for those who love narrative-inspired jewellery. Drawing on the theme of woodland creatures, the earrings aim to evoke the colours and textures of the fawn's natural habitat, from meadow-like pastures (represented here by the grass-like inclusions of the rutilated quartz) to the tree-top canopy, captured through beautiful enamel work.
We think these one-of-a-kind animal earrings work as well by day as by night - and are guaranteed to be the most interesting piece of jewellery in the room. The Forest Fawn Earrings have featured in such publications asVogue Turkey, Conde Nast Traveller and Vogue UK Online and Global Blue online.
