Mexicana Collection

Mexicana is a collection inspired by the beating heart of Mexican architecture, both old and the new. It looks to the shapes of ancient Aztec temples and mid-century Modernist colourful masterpieces, reinterpreting the language in fine jewellery form.

The pieces are mostly geometric in form, embracing the clean lines and block like structure of this style of architecture. The colours are too evocative of Mexican heritage. Bright pinks, aqua blues, fierce oranges and dark blacks imitate the palette of bold modernist architecture and recalls the searing heat of the day on the scorched land. Decorative motifs, such as the sun and serpent, can be found influencing the composition of certain pieces, most notably the Sun Drop Earrings and Serpent Ring.
