These magnificent floral earrings owe their inspiration to Lewis Carroll and his iconic book, Alice in Wonderland. When asked by Alice “How is it you can talk so nicely”, Tiger-lily the flower responds “In most gardens they make the beds too soft so that the flowers are always asleep”.
In our imagined garden all the flowers would be very much alive and talking, akin to way these earrings are brought to life when worn. Hand-crafted in London in 18ct yellow gold and verdigris brass, the Wonderland Earrings are mounted at their centre with a pair of cushion-cut citrines to create a beautiful marriage of green and orange jewel-like tones. Accents of black rhodium and white enamel decorate the fittings, giving the flower a unique look and feel, akin to one found in a make-believe fantasy.
Whilst statement in design, the Wonderland Earrings are actually extremely versatile thanks in part to their brass petals, which are supremely lightweight – you can hardly feel these earrings on your ears. This quality makes them exceptionally placed to be enjoyed both by day and night, pairing them with jeans and white shirt or a fabulous cocktail dress.
These earrings have featured in such publications as Dulex Pad Magazine (Tag Aviation), VO+ Magazine, Telegraph Magazine, Country & Town House Magazine, Wallpaper Magazine, Brummel Magazine and Katerina Perez Online.
The Wonderland Earrings hail from our Once Upon a Time in My Secret Garden jewellery collection. Inspired by the landscaped gardens of William Kent and Capability Brown, the exotic menagerie’s of George Stubbs and Jacques-Laurent Agasse, and the writings of William Shakespeare, Phillip Pullman, Lewis Carrol and Frances Hodgson Burnett (amongst others), this collection aims to bring to life the weird and wonderful flowers and creatures that would reside in our imagined garden.
